I've looked at every supplier I can find online and none can compete with Wal Mart prices, and that's before shipping costs are added on. I don't buy .40, but I do purchase 9mm, .45ACP, .38 Special, .357 Mag., and .380. For all of these, Wal Mart consistently has the lowest prices. Unfortunately, they don't keep a great deal in stock, so whenever I find a store with a good supply I'll purchase quite a bit. A guy at my local range heard that Wal Mart was going to stop carrying handgun ammo (like they did with handguns several years ago). I'm looking into reloading because, even with Wal Mart, ammo prices are murder. I'm also concered that when the new Prez get's around to it, ammunition will be treated like cigarettes - if you can't make it illegal then tax the hell out of it.
