I am looking for a Kydex sheath that will bolt up to my Blackhawk SERPA thigh holster for my SOG Seal Pup but have so far been unable to find a company that makes something that fits my needs other than Red Hill Sheaths and when i got a hold of them before i got deployed i did not have time to send them the knife and now they are not taking orders so does anyone have any ideas?

Are you currently deployed? And does it need to attach to your holster proper, or can it just attach to 1 1/4" webbing and belts? It's easy to use a TechLok to attach to a belt or webbing. Attaching to kydex- especially if you don't have the holster in hand- could be more difficult.

Kevin Robinson (TIE Tactical) is making some really great kydex sheaths. And he's a member on THR...

Ok, I re-re-reread your original post, and I'm now wondering the same thing JShirley was asking. How are you looking to attach to the SERPA? Do you already have a sheath and just need the panel that will bolt to the SERPA?

Kevin's work is amazing. i hope to have some of my knives wearing his kydex soon.

I don't see attaching to the SERPA holster itself as being practical. You could attach to the thigh platform that the holster attaches to, but I wouldn't do this since it could create problems drawing your handgun.

For anyone that hasn't checked, the Red Hills sheath can be fitted behind the drop leg platform with the thigh straps running through it to secure it between the thigh and the SERPA platform. That looks like it could become uncomfortable after a while and I'd hate to encounter the grip of the knife while trying to draw a sidearm.

There are the 3 vertical holes on each side of the handgun mount. I was picturing a panel that would attach to the 3 in front of the handgun, and then also bolt on to the sheath, or use some type of clip-retention onto the panel for easy knife removal when needed.

I am currently deployed so sending in my holster and knife at the time is not really a option.. but i get home late next month so i will be able to send them in then....i have tried carrying the knife behind the holster and liked it but it forced the gun to far out to get through scuttles I have already used the knife on watch several times and the last time was to cut a 2-3 inch mooring line that was holding a barge to the ship during a storm preventing further damage to the ship i really like the position in front of my holster on the drop leg and have tried 550 cord and zip ties but was not happy with the look or stability

Here is a Strider DBL that I did for a soldier, reverse draw.
I can and have custom fitted many sheaths to holsters with good results, so if you have an idea I do my best to make it work.
The sheath is Level II retention so no worries about a BG getting ahold of it or it going AWOL.
