As far as reliability, durability, user friendly, and acuracy, which one of these two comes out on top. I am going to be purchasing a P01 in the near future and just wondering how it compares to the G17

of your criteria, its really a wash, it comes down to which has better controls for you, and which fits your hand better.

No 'winner' really, in my humble opinion

P01, though the Glock is no slouch either. I just can't picture a CZ 75 anything fail at reliability, and the P01 went through some horrific testing to get the NATO approval it has. Feels great in the hand as well, I have a PCR, but I think they are close enough to compare.

What Rob said!

Thats what I was hoping to hear. My first handgun was a GLOCk and I like it and have the itch for something different just because. Just wanted a little reassurance I was making the right decision. Doez CZ stand by their product like GLOCK does? i.e. if anything happens to it they fix it for free pretty much for the lifetime of the gun, assuming it wast the fault of a reload?

I've never had any reliability or durability issues with either my P-01 or Glock (19, not 17). The Glock, with the large, open ejection port would, I think, deserve the nod for being easier to clear some forms of stoppages.

On the user friendly front, the Glock has a slightly easier manual of arms to master, not having to deal with the decocker. I find the P-01 controls easier to manipulate at speed (can be fixed on Glock with extended controls). The P-01 definitely gets higher marks for simply how it feels in the hand, to me.

As far as accuracy, I shoot the P-01 better, but the Glock trigger just doesn't quite work for me (again, switching to a lighter than standard connector might help with this). The Glock does have a single trigger pull versus the DA/SA on the P-01, and most would agree that the DAO trigger is easier to learn and master than the two trigger pulls of a DA/SA pistol.

Thanks for teh replys fellas. How about CZ's warranty? Do they take care of any problems, that is if any should even arise?

Those rubber grips on the P01 and PCR feel sooooo good, it's like the pistol is massaging your hand. I've got a Glock 27 I like very much, but it doesn't inspire the same pride of ownership as the PCR does. Plus the PCR has yet to malfunction, even when wearing the Kadet slide, but the Glock has malfunctioned once. More if you count the conversion barrel and 33 round mags, but I don't count it because it was meant for that.

from a CZ fan..... they're both excellent combat pistols. like the first reply says: find which has the controls that best fits your hands. the main advantage of the CZ is that it's got a decocker, and is all steel. the advantage of the glock 17 is the large aftermarket, and lighter weight. they're both pretty even on paper, but which is best for you can only be decided by you.
