I did a couple searches and didn't find any other posts on this subject...

What do y'all carry in y'all's Steyr M-series pistols for defensive ammo? Are there any brands anyone has had problems with as far as failure to feed? I am looking at federal Hydra-shoks, going to run a bunch through next time I go out to the range. Just curious as to what everyone has found reliable, or what to try and steer clear from.

Thanks

go out grab variety of ammo run it through your gun go with what feeds flawlessly and allows you to get followup shots easily. myself I prefer 1150-1200-1300fps and 350-400+ft lbs muzzle energy and 115gr-124gr bullets. though begining to look into 135gr and 147gr though they are usually slower and the ft lbs of energy is low.
then penetration comes into play does it go through target and keep on going is it jacketed hollow point bullet did it expand. heavy clothing makes a difference.
