Did Ted Nugent cross the line?

There is a line? I didn't realize that. I thought the anti-gunners trampled the line a long time ago.

Are there people identified as being of the Jewish faith who are actively anti-gun?

Yes. And admittedly so, by pro gun activists of Jewish faith.

The people in the photos are of Jewish ethnicity. To the best of my knowledge not one of them actually practices Judaism.

I'm not religious, but aren't nearly all religious authorities anti self defense or anti gun?
NORMATIVE ("orthodox") Judaism holds self-defense to be a positive obligation. The Talmud says "If someone is coming to kill you, rise up and kill him first."

OK, a lot of U.S. Jews are anti-gun...

What difference does it make? Seems to me that a few of the comments here may run the risk of unconsciously buying into Nugent's assumptions, which if I'm interpreting correctly are: Without Jews there would be no gun control movement. Jews are bad; therefore, gun control is bad.

Whew! I need to take a shower! There is historical context to blaming Jews for bad things, and because of that, Nugent's post gives me the creeps.

It doesn't matter who supports gun control. The issue needs to sink or swim on its merits (or lack thereof). I believe in the HighRoad because we don't stoop to ad hominem attacks. We debate issues on the merits.
