Digital scales on ebay

Some of the Barmes family members that are not in jail or under indictment still sell some Rite Weight scales on their various websites direct to consumers.
We have heard industry jokes about this warranty, they call it a "5 years or until we're arrested warranty"...
Makes you think, don't it?

It's tempting to get one of the better company scales that aren't in danger of being arrested, but are still inexpensive, but what about when you get the powder dispenser that is supposed to work with the infared port on the scale? Might as well buy a good scale that will work with it in the first place, and just save until you can get the dispenser later also.

Since I don't do any rifle sub-moa reloading, I haven't picked up a dispenser/scale combo yet. My simple Lee scale works well enough, but the whole three line thing takes some getting used to.

My Weigh scales are good, but if you're going to be reloading, just buy a dedicated reloading scale and check weights.

0.1 grams isn't accurate enought to reload with is it? That give you an error of like 1.5 grains which is pretty significant isn’t it?

Chink, you're right. Didn't think to run the conversion before. That's way too far off, I'll stick with my beam scales for now.

.1 grams not good enough

.1 grams isnt accurate enough, especially if you are loading smaller caliber shells. I bought a very similar one that was just over 30 bucks with shipping that weighs to .01 grams which is .15 grains. It isnt this exact one but very similar to this scale

It is quite accurate but needs to be tared occasionally because for some reason the tare doesnt hold 0 very well. It doesnt convert directly to grains so I made a chart that has all my gram to grain conversions and it has worked fine so far. I only load in half grain increments for rifles so it works fine for me. Not a great scale but adequate and within my price range.
