No, I don't think 4227 has been changed for a very long time.

What has happened recently is, because H4227 and IMR4227 were either very similar or actually the same powder Hodgdon decided to discontinue H4227 in favor of IMR4227. They were also talking about doing the same with H4198 and IMR4198 but both are still in their respective catalogs so who knows?


IMR4227 and H4227 were not the same powder. The old IMR 4227 was discontinued and the old H4227 was renamed IMR4227. At least that's how Hodgdon explained it to me.
 
The good news is, you are getting lots of loading time in, and having a good time finding what you like. Ah, the world of a reloader!

And then there is always 2400, IMR-4227, AA#9, and the newer of the big dogs on the block, Power Pro 300MP to play with, which I've been hearing some good things about.
