Nah, but seriously THR might be a bit over-moderated, but if you read the mission statement then it all makes sense.

Actually, i went out of my way NOT to make a "mountain out of a mole hill". I merely asked if this was the case, and then only said "sometimes this place makes me wonder". Hardly an over-reacting rant, by any estimation.
And Asknight wasn't within a country mile of "spamming", and neither was i nor anyone else. Yet asknight was running for cover (so to speak) for merely MENTIONING another forum. (and it's a damn good forum).
And as for my "overly-moderated" comment.....i stand by it. A couple months ago i was chastised through a PM from a moderator for agreeing that another member over reacted to a juvenile joke made by a member ( He called the Atlanta paper "The Urinal-Constipation". So what,big deal. ) A simple,"Come on,dude, we're The high Road" ,would have sufficed, but no, he goes on a 50 line,self righteous tirade,and i simply agreed with a couple other members that it wasn't that big a deal, and got jumped on by the moderators.And that's just one of many examples.Don't get me wrong, i appreciate the job these guys do,keeping things civil and productive, i just feel that it's sometimes over-used,and a lot of butt-kissing,home-room board-washer members can't wait to beat them to the punch.
And before anyone goes off the deep end, telling me "if i don't like it i can...." well, we're just shooting the breeze here, it's all good.......

There comes a time when that arfcom stuff just isn't funny anymore, and this forum is pretty much the opposite of arfcom, and that's a very good thing.
Though there are days I do miss being able to invite someone to the Pit.....

You know, i troll arf.com pretty regularly, and sure,they drop the F-bomb, and rant a bit,but by and large, they seem a fairly reasonable bunch,at least from what i've seen.Granted, i have my favorite sub-topics there (as i do here:general,legal,rifle),and don't often venture far from those few,but i don't often see it spiraling into the abyss.
