Exotic concealed carry

For some reason I've always wanted to carry my 'fun' (non-ccw) handguns, things like Lugers, SAAs, et cetera on a short term experimental level, despite the risk of having a less than perfect lifeline. Anyways, what's the most unusual/impractical ccw you've ever carried?

Besides drooling and trying to lick your elbow while the evidence is being given, a lupara is probably the quickest way to alienate a self defence jury

Luckily, that doesn't really matter. If I were in a situation where I needed a gun, I would've reached for my USG 5.7, NOT that 12ga!

I carried a 16" AR-15 under my robe on a single-point sling to get the mail once. Legally.

Carried a .44 Desert Eagle for a week just to see if it could be done, the hard part was butchering a large revolver holster and adding straps so it went on the belt properly. With a half decent belt, it was no worse than an all-steel 1911.

When I used to get the willies opening and closing the gun shop, I brought my cannon.



If I go out for a longer drive, have a feeling of unease, or equivalent, I bring

A LONG time ago,I had a decent reason to worry about some "recent acquaintances"...I single point-slung an old Navy Arms imported "paratrooper" SKS,with a decent number of loaded stripper clips under my poncho.THAT was about as "exotic "as I have carried outside of my GI days.
What WOULDmake for an "exotic" CC by todays standards?Single point one of those Krink type AK pistols.Or ,maybe an AMD-65.
I WOULD like to see someone run off a new ,semi-only copy of a Stetchkin APS,just because...no one has yet!

PLR-16 under a coat, just because I could. Same for my Desert Eagle .50.

Actually, with a 20 round mag, the PLR was not that difficult to conceal using the single point sling cinched up good.

Ditto, but with a 10rd mag. It's fairly concealable.

I don't have anything "exotic" enough to be in the running yet, but I've occasionally thought along the same lines of "why not"?

Been thinking of buying a P38 for the heck of it......might CCW it, for the same reason.

I carried a cap-n-ball Remington New Army back when that was all I had. Taught me that you can conceal just about anything if you dress around it.

I've switched to a more practical pistol, but I never felt undergunned with that big .44. Of course, I would have been in big trouble if I had to reload, but I figured the noise, smoke, and fire would take the fight out of any attacker, even if the lead failed to do so.

I used to carry a Smith 1917 pretty regularly. Don't know if you'd call that "exotic."


I really want a Mauser Broomhandle and a Luger. If/when I get them, I'll probably carry them occasionally, just for the heck of it.

I also carried a CZ 550 in .270 Winchester...although only from my car to apartment at the time. I didn't have anything else on me and would have felt stupid if I got robbed with the thing in the case
