Factory Sales always had the best prices on Lee... but they were dog slow shippers, charged cards when orders were placed and communicated like a brick wall.

I purchased from them once, and though they did eventually (8 weeks later) fill the order, it was frustrating trying to communicate with them and I decided Midway was worth a few dollars more for what I consider "second to none service and processing accuracy and speed".

So I was pretty psyched when I discovered FS Reloading and thought it was a second and new Lee master distributor.

I'm ready to pull the trigger on a progressive press.... but just noticed that the web domain for FS Reloading is "Factory Sales" (OK... so I guess I was a little slow connecting FS to Factory Sales).

Was their reputation so bad that they had to start over with a new name?

Is FS Reloading any better than the old outfit?

Thanks for any insights you can share.

I hope so I just ordered some parts yesterday, got an email last night that said they shipped, with a confirmation number. Their prices seem great, lets hope thier service passes muster.

I should know in about a week, I'll post here then for all to see

Ordered from FS a while back 4mo or so went without a hitch good price fast shipping all you would expect.

Yes, FS Reloading is the same as Factory Sales, just a name change (I think they did that to minimize the confusion people had whether Factory Sales was a Lee "Factory" outlet, which is not the case).

Anyway, how old was your order? I have helped setup several new reloaders with Lee products from FS Reloading the past two years and all the orders (including my own orders) have been timely and accurate.

I last ordered from them about two years ago...

I'm glad to hear that they have improved.... their web. site is certainly better.

Thanks for the replies.

I've recently ordered from FS Reloading, excellent pricing, got the orders (2) very fast. With the way firearm related items have been over the last few year I can understand clitches in receiving items. Lee itself will not accept ANY special orders the time being because of production time.

Hope this helps in understanding. At least you're not trying to buy .22 ammo!

I started reloading in 1975 but in 2010 I decided to repopulate my bench with the best equipment I could buy (that fit my loading/shooting style and needs).

I took a couple of months (June/July) of shopping to do it and the guys at Factory Sales (now FS Reloading) were very helpful. Kempf's Gun Shop online was, too, and I had a hard time deciding which way to go.

I ordered a few hundred dollars of equipment from Factory Sales.

Classic Turret Press and extra turrets
some sets of dies
Pro Auto-Disk powder measure
a bunch of other miscellany

Essentially, I repopulated by entire loading bench except for my scale.

They were very good, accommodating and fast. They gave good advice, generally.

One glitch, though. They substituted, against my wishes, a standard Auto-Disk powder measure for the Pro Auto-disk. Someone there thought the Pro would not function on the Classic Turret I bought at the same time and shipped the standard, without confirming with me.

I did not elect to exchange the item, as it did not seem reasonable to incur $15 shipping on a $25 item, even if it was their money. (I did not ask who would pay return shipping. I would not have wanted to spend their money any more than I wanted to spend mine)

They did, however, sell me a conversion kit and a second Pro Auto-Disk and did not charge me shipping. However, they did not discount the price, either.

Otherwise, I found them amiable, polite and professional. I do recommend keeping in CLOSE contact with them about their process, both before and AFTER placing the order, at least until you get the confirmation (from the Post Office) that the tracking confirmation number has been received. Factory Sales, I understand, had a habit of back-ordering without telling the buyer. But I also understand they have revised that policy. But keeping in close contact does tend t eliminate that hitch, doesn't it?

Having said that, I would not pass up the chance to investigate Kemp's Gun shop, either. The only reason I did not buy from Sue Kempf was a miscommunication with an employee (who no longer works there) and that Factory Sales dropped their prices substantially just before I was about to place my order with Kempf's. Sue Kempf is kind, professional and uses Lee loading gear herself. Though I do not know her personally, I am privy to some details that prompt me to say she is the Salt of the Earth and I kind of regret not buying from Kempf's. The price difference was not that much.

I had always wondered if Factory Sales was indeed "factory" sales. I guess not. Wanna bet that Lee was threatening litigation or something?

Anyway, I ordered all my initial reloading equipment from Factory Sales about a couple of years ago. Spent several hundred bucks with them. Since then, I've ordered a few extras from time to time from them. They had the best prices, hands down. They got the orders right. Communication, when needed, was adequate. Shipping was always timely. No complaints at all.

I've since heard all the horror stories. Maybe I was just lucky.

I understand there was some talk of copyrights.

Lee Precision's web site has a list of what you might call "factory outlets" of which FSReloading (Factory Sales) is only one.

Grafs and Midway tend to be quite a bit faster, but I've read everyone is swamped with all sorts of orders now.

I like them. My first order had back orders & was not happy with the way they handled it. The new site last time I ordered told you the items were out of stock & had to be ordered with a different order if you wanted it to be spotted different.

I order almost exclusively through FS Reloading and have now for about 2 years. The only time I had a problem with it was when something was on back order which slowed the shipping down to the next business day when they called to ask what I wanted to do. Other than that the longest order and only 1 took 5 business day while they average 4 over all from time I order till it is at my door. The one time it took 5 days I didn't notice the message on back order.

I'm with joecil.

About 90% of my equipment has come from fsreloading. The url hasn't changed since I've been buying, only change is the website design and look, same name and everything else like always.
Like everyone else right now, stocks are depleted. Last time I checked no one beats them on price.

FS Sales is about 2 miles from the Lee factory. Everytime I have ordered from them my order was in the mail withen 1 or 2 days. Prices have always been the lowest, and I have nothing but good things to say about them.

Just make sure they have the things you want to order in stock. I have done business with them for years. Great outfit for as few employees as they have. They are quick to respond if you email them and tell them what you want.

I have dealt with them on a number of occasions. Their prices are great! I have never had a problem with them. I'm sure I have spent at least a couple hundred with them.

I now have a dillion press but still use lee dies.

I've ordered from them several times - never had the first problem and I've had lots worse on the communications side.
