I dont buy this for a second. If they dont keep records of what you check out how do they get their books back? How is it that when I return a book they know wether or not I owe late fees? I assure you that even if they have some magical system that allows them to do this, there *are* records of interlibrary loans because they really do have to get those books back to the loaning library AND they have to know who to get into contact with when the book arrives.
