I Can Never Go Back....

I moved from Illinois to Georgia 25 years ago, in a job transfer.

I started shooting in '99, and now own 11 Handguns, in various calibers.....and can never move back "Home" due to their oppressive gun laws.

When I lived there, It didn't matter...but now it does!!

I can't be somewhere without CCW!!

Just to add to the Illinois pile of dung.
Indiana is getting closer every day.

Gun Owners Enjoys Support of Gov. Blagojevich

CHICAGO, March 3 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The following was released
today by the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA):

The ISRA is calling upon state lawmakers to reject a plan to
register Illinois gun owners in the same manner that sex offenders
are cataloged. The proposal is part of a sweeping, statewide gun
control program introduced by Chicago Mayor Richard Daley in
mid-February. Governor Blagojevich has gone on record supporting
the Daley gun control package -- including the gun owner
registration scheme.

The gun owner registration requirements are contained in Senate
Bill 1320, which was introduced this session by Daley ally Sen.
Iris Martinez. The provisions of SB1320 mimic sex offender
registration programs in that gun owners would be required to
report to their local police stations on an annual basis for
questioning regarding their firearms ownership. At that time, gun
owners would also be required to sit for mug shots and be
fingerprinted. If all goes well, and after the payment of a
$25 fee, the applicant would be granted a one-year extension of
his or her right to own firearms.

"Firearm owners from across the state are expressing their
outrage over the proposed registration requirements," reported ISRA
president Richard Pearson. "Daley's decision to lump hunters and
sportsmen in with sex offenders shows the utter contempt he has for
the state's 1.5 million law-abiding firearm owners. When SB1320
comes to a vote, we'll learn just who in the General Assembly
shares Mayor Daley's views."

Since 1903, the ISRA has been the state's leading advocate of
safe, lawful and responsible firearms ownership.

I am west of the Fascist State of Illinois

I live in rural Missouri, on the other side of the Big Muddy from the FS of I. While we have the irony of gambling boats being in Illinois and then Missouri, and that there are more adult clubs right across the river from St. Louis, the assault on the Second Amendment is intolerable.

We had a guy and his girlfriend move down to the small town I live just outside of and buy a motel. They have refused to obtain a Missouri drivers license, refuse to license their vehicles in Missouri, and hate firearms, yet they want to vote here.

I actually hacked off the guy by talking about my first deer that I harvested last November.

Anyway back to the subject at hand. I don't understand why an non-resident can buy ammo without that card, yet a resident cannot. I don't see the logic in it. I would also agree that you should keep it so that you can show others what facism and statism looks like.

After hearing about all of this in Illinois, I have resolved not to hunt in, visit or buy products from Illinois.

I suppose the ISP should be trusted without question. They are the ones who have almost always run me off the road barreling out of rest stops and truck weigh stations to pull someone over for speeding.

And as for penalizing the law abiding for the crimes of those who are not, it is wrong without question. All it does is make people loath their government all the more.
