I have a 30S and XDS .45 that are both relatively new. The 30S had less than 100 rounds through it before our trip to the range today and the XDS had about 300. We put about 300 rounds through each, an were having FTE issues every 40 to 50 rounds. We also had a few FTF's, and the slide on the XDS would not stay open after the last round about 1/3 of the time. I made sure I wasn't limp wristing them, and am wondering if they just need to be broken in more, if it was the ammo (PMC 230 grain FMJRN) or if both are having issues. We also shot a new SA Mil Spec 1911, and it had 1 FTE with about 200 rounds through it.
My questions are how many rounds are necessary to break the XDS and 30S' in, and if anyone has had similar issues with PMC ammo.
