Garmin Xero C1 Pro Chronograph

I found a pretty good stl for a case for my Garmin and printed it, had to size it up a smidge, but it fits well. I actually added my contact info to the inside of the lid so that it's in the print, but blurred it out in the pic.

I’m gonna order 1 from Cabela’s so as use the points from the card since the price is the same everywhere else.

The BassPro across the river had them in stock.
Found that Amazon had one listed at $587.90, took a pic of the screen and showed it to the cashier, they price match PLUS an additional 5% if you a Club Member, then an additional 10% in points for using the Cabela’s card and no interest for 12 months…!!
Also used some accumulated points I had..
First time I had been in BassPro so of course had to buy more than originally tasked with…!!!
Thing is TINY……!

FYI if you had any doubts, the Garmin Xero C1 Pro will chrono your shots after dark just fine. It is radar and not optical, but I had not considered the notion until one of my viewers asked. So I took it with me to the stand last night in hopes of chronoing hogs shot, but no hogs came, so I chrono'd a couple of shots into the dirt. Worked beautifully.

I'll have to code a module for those. How do you keep them from walking out?

After I cut the rod to length I wack it with a hammer in center, swelling that spot of the hinge pin, then press it in.

Really doesn't take much, I bet a slight bend in the rod would do it.

I've used my Garmin xero a couple times but not a lot, probably 6-8 strings total. Got a new rifle (PCC) and decided what the heck I might as well take the Garmin with me since it is so easy to use. That did not work out so well. It would not read any shots for any strings. I probably tried 30+ shots at 25 yards and 50 yards. Nothing. It would spin like it detected a shot but nothing. After 5+ shots the string read "0" shots. My heart sank as I put it in my range bag. The PCC ran well enough but the Xero not working soured the whole trip. Came home and thought maybe an update, but when syncing with my phone it said thar I was on the latest release. :( Not knowing what else to do I did a factory reset on the unit available in the setting menu I think. It took a minute or so and it acted like a new unit set-up. I resynced with my phone. I did a test with an Airsoft pistol in the family room and it seems to be reading again. Yay :) I wish I would have tried the Airsoft before the reset but I have no reason to believe it would have worked. Just putting this here in case someone runs into an issue you might try a reset. Not sure why it needed it but it seems to have helped.

Now I need to go shoot that PCC again :)

My main application is power factor measurement, I do not now have a need to confirm - or correct - ballistic coefficients. I will be watching to see how well the Midway does at that task, though.

The “Caldwell Velociradar” not yet available.

They’re - maybe eventually - re-releasing the Velociradar after several years of promising it to market. A new color scheme and $200 more expensive than the original version, no upgrades or updates, and it’s nearly the same price as the Garmin Xero C1 and LabRadar LX. They’re way too late to the party with this.

Doesn't It do down range readings tho, wonder if that's something garmin could add in a updated some how. From what I see the lr guys interested in the new la since they weren't very supportive of the older models and there app sucks.
