For those of you that don't know what happened to my HK, here's a link.
http://www.thegunzone.com/glock/hk-kb.html
I shipped the gun to HK four weeks ago, and they quoted me $165 for repairs. I told them to go ahead and fix it. I haven't received it back yet, I have no idea how long it will take them to get it done.
I will post a review when I get it back from them. I thought $165 was a reasonable amount, considering the extensive damage.

Where in Maine are you?

Hello gggman. Thanks for the update. I am in Bingham. I go to many gun shows in ME & NH. I think I have seen that fellow that sells reloads. Is he the one that sits back in his booth playing kiss face with his gal? I came close to buying from him, but the way they acted (both still Hor**y) on a Sat. morning in NH turned me off.
Best of luck for the HK, keep us posted,,Screech

I'm going to the Lewiston gun show tomorrow, and I'll be on the lookout for the guy who sold me the ammo. I don't think it's the guy you mentioned, but I think I know who you are talking about.:scrutiny:

Just to keep this Maine thread going. I'll be at the Lewiston show Sunday morning. Looking for a few parts, that's pretty much it. At least I'll see some people I know and don't see often. let us know how it is G3.

Never has been anyone elses handloads in my HK USP. If for no other reason than I'll trust the big boys and those I know. not some fly-by-nighter that pawns his wares at the shows a few times a year.

Was surprised at this years show. Seemed quite dead compared to past shows. Also noticed a few of the usual dealers were not there. The Waterville show in comparison was much better, even though it's been held at a tenny club the last few years.

Went to the Lewiston show Sat. morning. It was very crowded, but I noticed that a lot of the regular dealers were absent.
Overall, the show was a disapointment. The prices were very high, but there were a few good deals to be had. I picked up a like new SP101 .357 for $280. Made in 2003 according to the ser. #, and appears to be unfired. The price was right, so I couldn't pass it up.
I saw other used handguns that were priced $100 above their actual value. And some dealers with prices above suggested retail on new guns.:banghead:
I hate trying to fight my way through the crowds. Every time I saw something on a dealers table that I wanted to look at, I couldn't get near it because of the crowds of people.:cuss:
Also, the parking situation at the Lewiston show is lousy. I arrived at 9:15, and had to park about a half mile away.

We must of walked in at the same time, gggman. I showed up at 9:15 as well. You're right about those prices. Riciculous. Congrats on the SP101.
I love mine. And for the record, I was not one of those people standing in the middle of the aisle with a group of people, shooting the breeze, not letting anybody through. :banghead:

I could not get to Lewiston this weekend. As for the Waterville show at Champions, there seems to be a lot more dealers there than when it was at the Armory. But, this past show I was very upset about the high prices on everything. Used guns selling near retail and way above dealer prices.

PS, We made plans yesterday to be in Concord April 17:D That is usually a nice show. Last time I was there I picked up a mint Colt SP1 for $1100.

Hit Lewiston this mornin'. Fairly busy but just lookers. Saw very few good deals. Prices higher than MSRPs and more than enough lousy sales pitches. Seemed to be a few more collectors with thier displays (not for ale stuff) and a few with nothing but cheap junk. Didn't find anything I went looking for, but got some ideas as to what to save for.
