My LGS has a new Glock 43 for sale for $450 out the door. The $450 includes the background check and all applicable taxes etc.

Is this a good deal for someone in the market for this pistol or are better prices to be found?

That is less than what I paid for mine.

In the interest of full disclosure: I was waiting on a single stack 9mm from Glock for YEARS. When it came out, I bought the first one I saw. So, I wasn't bargin shopping.

I think that's a fair price. I'd be tempted if I didn't already have a couple of single stack 9mms.

Fair price. I like the 43, but I already have two sub compacts. You can't always get a smoking deal on everything.

That is LGS price around here. FWIW, I didn't like mine. I got rid of it and bought another shield, which are cheaper than a shield anyway. I had stupidly got rid of my first one to buy a 43.

I don’t have a 43 but if memory serves they are running around 450 plus tax around here. I think that’s a good deal.

Glock is extremely aggressive at enforcing prices for NIB stock- If a dealer sells for less than the "fixed" price they will never receive another shipment of NIB stock from Glock HQ. Likely $450 is the best NIB deal that will ever be had and is the LGS minimum.

The model in question is the only 43 he has in stock apparently. It happens to be the display model. Any reason not to purchase a display model?

Being short on cash is the only reason I could think of, as long as you give it a good looking over first. It only takes seconds to pull the slide and look inside.

check http://gun.deals They're cheaper there (under 400) but perhaps not cheap enough after shipping and FFL to make much of a difference. I think that paying 10-15% more to buy local is generally an okay deal sometimes.

Thought I saw a rebuild yesterday for 350 but perhaps that blew out quickly.
