I agree that a golf course is a willfull misuse of what could be a perfectly good shooting range.

Golfers, having problems driving past 500 yards?

Try this out:

The GFA is another L&G Exclusive product. For golf enthusiast who just can't seem to make 500 yard drives! A standard GI blank will propel a golf ball in excess of 500 Yards! Just remove flash hider and thread on the GFA.

I'd rather have a Ruger 9mm than a Ruger 9 Iron...

Most golf courses in Az are either government-owned or have club houses with liquour licences - ie no legal carrying... :uhoh:

A p3-at in the pocket or an AR50 shotie in the bag couldn't hurt though... just stick a sock over the muzzle so that people just think it's a club. :)

I seem to recall a news story a few years ago about some impatient young guy beating an older guy with a golf club on a course...don't remember if the older guy died or not...

If I played golf, I'd carry. If I was a really good golfer, such that my swing would be significantly affected by carrying on my body, I'd carry in my golf bag.

All these "would you carry at/on XXXXXX ?" questions don't make much sense to me.

If you are going to carry, why not carry everywhere except where prohibited ;) and where totally impractical (in the shower or swimming pool, etc) ????

The bigger issue is getting to and from XXXXXX, and storage if you don't carry at XXXXXX.

Like I don't expect to need a gun inside Walmart or a theater, but I dang sure might in the parking lot or on a dark street.

Why do you carry your car keys on the golf course/ in Walmart etc ...?
You can't drive your car there.

The way I play golf, I have no need for ANOTHER lethal weapon on the course.

My very first swing at a driving range resulted in the guy directly to my right having a huge bruise on his back, walking away with a limp and me apologizing profusely...

Aside from aligators, which are definitely a threat down in Florida, I could see a situation develope where you may accidentally hit, or almost hit another golfer with a errant tee shot.

Last time I golfed, I almost backed up into an aligator that was sitting by a lake. Was about 5 feet away from it, it was about 8 feet long. If that thing wanted to attack me, I wouldn't have had time to pull a gun out !!

We had a guy get sniped at a local golf course a year ago.

They never were able to positively link the murder to the DC snipers. It was just a "coincidence" they were in town visiting relatives right next to where the senseless murder took place.

From the Star:

Arizona Daily Star March Review

A Tucson man practicing chip shots at Fred Enke Golf Course is found slain, in a case that mystified police and later came to national attention. There seemed to be no motive in the shooting of 61-year-old Jerry R. Taylor. Police tried to match the bullet that killed Taylor to the gun used in the Washington, D.C.-area "Beltway Sniper" killing spree, but no conclusive link has been revealed. The two men arrested in the Beltway Sniper killings — John Allen Muhammand and John Lee Malvo — were found to have been visiting Tucson at the time of the Taylor slaying, visiting a relative living near the Enke course.

crazy man. what kind of gun and caliber bullet were those two bastards using? I can't quite remember
