Green dot what do you use it for?

Ditto. I like 4 to 4.4 grains with 124 gr. fmj for target work.

Alliants current load data has only one pistol load supplied for green dot. A load for 45 auto and 230 gr lrn (the one I was planning on using it for anyway). Older copies have a lot of data for green dot and in other calibers as well.

I would love to know why. Did they change the powder?

[edit] Made a mistake on this. Checked the new 2015 data and there are more than one load. Either my search fu was weak, I'm blind, or both. However, available data for GD in pistol loads in the new manual from Alliant is indeed sparse.

But you are right about there being far fewer listings for Green Dot in various pistol calibers than ten yr ago.

Light loads in .357. It fills the case better than most powders, burns clean, solid accuracy.
