I came home today to see that my new scope came in :) . But, when I tried to open my safe, the keypad wouldn't respond. I figured the battery was dead. I just bought it in March or April or so. I figured it was a used battery that they installed in it at Academy. The safe was a return, so I got it for a good deal.

It has worked without any problem since I got it.

My question is, do you have to do anything special when you install a new battery? When the connector hits the contacts, I hear a beep, and the red light on the lock flashes. When I hit the keys, however, it doesn't respond. I don't hear any beeps or anything.

Is there a reset of some kind? Do I have to wait for the new battery to activate the lock somehow?

Thanks,
Marco

mac .. my safe is a Safari but - the directions for battery change suggest all should be well after changing - and I'd think it should be similar with electronic lock on yours.

Best thing tho IMO is to call Cannon - unless someone here has same and has experienced this exact problem.
