I've only actually bought one gun at a gun show (last week at that!). It was a Win. Mod 190 (semi-auto .22lr). The one I picked (the guy had 2) was the less expensive and I talked him down a few bucks. I took it to the range the next day with a brick of Federal 36gr copper plated hollow points. It only fired maybe once for every 5-8 pulls of the trigger. I went directly back to the gun show, found the guy, and he offered to refund, or trade for the other .22 he had. I took the trade, immediatly went out in the desert to test fire it, and it worked great. Glad he was sensible enough to be reasonable (I was very polite, even as I expressed my initial displeasure with the first gun). Not really a "bad deal" but a bit frustrating until I got it sorted.
