Looking for any information anyone might have on this revolver.

I would say it is a top break, barrel pivots on a screw in front of the cylinder. It is hammerless, and I think DAO as I understand it. I don't know the glock, but the trigger has a slot with a second small trigger in it. The main trigger cannot be pulled back without compressing the small trigger.

No SN on the bottom of the but. The only SN that appears (without taking off the plastic grips) is obscured on the top of the trigger guard, half under the frame. Looks like it starts with a 43 but the rest cannot be read as it is under the frame.

Barrel has an imprint "IVER JOHNSON'S ARMS & CYCLE WORKS, FITCHBURG MASS. U.S.
PAT'D APR 6 '86, FEB 15, '87, MAY 10, 87, MAR. 13, '88, AUG 25,96, PAT'S PENDING

Looks like I cannot attach a picture to this reply, but I did put some pictures up on Feb 20th on the "handguns-revolvers" forum. If there is another way to get you the pictures let me know. I may try to send them directly.

The article that got my father excited was from "Guns" magizine , February 1971. It say:

"The Swift was really unique. It had an unusual slotted trigger in which was another "sub-trigger". Both had to be pulled back, together for the action to work. The "hammerless model had a very complicated trigger assembly. The hammer was the popular model, while the "hammerless" wasn't too well accepted. The "hammerless" production was limited and is very rare today. The "Swifts" sold for $11.00 to $12.00 at a time the Colt SAA sold for$1.00 while other gunmakers had gns selling for a buck"

I really appreciate anyone taking an interest.
