Help needed identifying rifle part. (FNC/FAL)

I'm currently on a quest to locate an FN FNC blank firing adapter...

I believe I've located one, but I have no idea what one looks like. I have pictures of the part in question, I think it's actually a FAL adapter but I was hoping someone here could tell for sure.

That looks like a BFA for a FAL all right but I think it's the one for a G-1 Fal, not the FNC. The G-1 has no threads at the muzzle. Instead it has a lug on the barrel that the flashhider, grenade launcher, and BFA snap onto.

I don't know if your FNC has such a lug? Isn't the FNC muzzle threaded for a flashhider? Sorry can't be more help.

Agreed - that's a G1 (one of the earliest FAL versions used in Germany) BFA.

Assuming you still have the normal flash hider, 22 mm with the gas rings, I believe a normal M-16 BFA will fit on there just fine. They are under $10 all over, so its not much of a risk.

That is, if you don't care what it looks like. Its kind of an ugly, boxy thing.

Oh, I did finally find an FNC BFA... $65. I may look into that M16 adapter idea.
