The last round doesn't want to feed from the magazine-it kinda sits on top and when the bolt hits it-it nose dives.Any suggestions?

Figured it out-I put some magic marker on the follower to see where it was catching and filed a ramp in that area and now it works like a champ. So if ya have a mosin not wanting to feed the last round check the shape of the rear ramp on the mag follower..

Sounds good - when they rearsenaled these babies, they put new parts in without really testing them...Mine works great - have you tried Czech Silvertip ammo yet? Dirt cheap, and works well. Have you decosmoed the chamber with a drill chucked shotgun brush? Worked great for me.

That's what I was shooting was the czech ammo and cleaned out the chamber decent but may have to do a little more.It got a little hard to open once or twice, can't see anything but evidently there's still some cosmo or something in it.You don't have ant idea what would be a good long eye relief scope do ya?I'd like to put one on it w/a darrel's mount.

Oh,by the way I checked 6 mosins w/my headspace gauges and they all were good-I had 1 guy tell me it was a waste of time but better safe than sorry.

Never a waste of time, as your safety is priceless, right?
I have never put a scope on a Mosin, but I do know someone has a no gunsmithing mount that replaces the rear sight, and can be switched back in a matter of minutes. I just use iron sights....know very little about scopes, sorry.
