There so many dozens (or hundreds) of serious complaints on six websites about Century CETMEs, and maybe some of their FALS (?), that I decided to instead buy a CMP Garand (my first) from a friend.
This might help explain-in addition to western "Battle Rifle" ammo costs-why so many CETMEs are available, not just at "GB" and other auctions, but at gun stores, pawn shops, and last week's Memphis gun show. It looks as if Century was probably run by bean-counters who believed in quantity over quality? I will never buy one of their products, even at a 50-80% discount.
The other factor is that reloading 30-06 (non-corr.) Greek M2 ammo should be easier than .308.
