Because you'd rather have a detachable magazine or a hinged floorplate than a blind mag.
They look like nice rifles otherwise.
1. Because you needed to ask.Tell me why I don't want a Savage Hog Hunter in 308
Because you have a friend and friends don't let friends buy Savage Hog Hunters
You do if you're planning on attaching a suppressor to it,and that was the purpose of Savage putting a threaded end on a 20" barrel.Because no one needs a threaded barrel to hunt hogs. Just saying.
It was tongue in cheek humor. I like Savage, they make a fine well priced rifle.I hope your suggestion will be something other than Remington. I have a few Savages and they have been great. I also have a CZ and a Howa which have worked very well. I'm even looking at a Sako for purchase later this year. Rem's QC, CS, and overall bad judgement along with all the poorly fit, finished, and malfunctioning (R51) firearms I've looked at sitting on the LGS's shelf have turned me completely away from them for good I fear. I still have a 700 sps tactical in .308 that's a few years old now. I like it a whole lot but it will probably be my last from anything Freedom Group.
It's got back up irons, so I kind of like it because it reminds me of the rifles I shot as a kid. Oops, that's a reason I'd get it!

Because the hogs don't want you to have one.

We must have different definitions of bad. I could bend the forend to touch the barrel with my thumb on the one I looked at.The stock is not that bad.
