My Girlfriend recently bought me an xd40 subcompact as an early Christmas gift, and I have been researching holsters for it. I have narrowed it down to two different holsters. The first is the crossbreed supertuck which by all accounts is somewehat narrower than the mtac. The mtac is slightly more expensive but has the option to change out the kydex shells. I am not sure about which one to get, but would more than likely be happy with either of them, so I decided to leave it up to you guys! Which ever gets the most votes is the one I will buy :neener:. Thanks

crossbreed and you won't want any other.

i love mine (got the horsehide one) for my XD45 4" service model. it is the comfiest IWB holster I have and you never have to worry about anyone knowing you are carrying.

People complaining about IWB comfort haven't tried a Supertuck.

Don't forget a serious gunbelt, too. CrossBreed makes a fairly good one, BeltMan makes a superb one that is a bit more expensive.

Well it looks like it's to be the Crossbreed Supertuck! It seems that the supertuck is a little thinner which would be nice for the xd, which is a bit wide.

Have you looked at the spartan model of the MTAC. It is more comparable to the supertuck, it also gives you the interchangeable bodies. The MTAC has 2 layers of leather as for the Spartan has 1 layer and exposed hardware. If you are looking for the ultimate concealment look into getting a Velcro lined belt with v-clips.

Over at xdtalk the consensus seems to be that the MTAC is a better built holster than the Supertuck. Several guys over there either have or have had both. I've never seen a Supertuck in person, and I bought my MTAC before I was aware of Crossbreed. I think the less-expensive Comp-Tac Spartan was developed to compete more directly with the Supertuck. It doesn't have the second layer of leather around the edges that the MTAC does so it's a teeny bit thinner and more flexible. But then the MTAC is single layer in the middle (where the slide is) to make it pretty darn thin. I'm sure that you can't go wrong with any of them and they are all a great value given their inherent comfort. Also keep in mind that you can swap the belt hooks/loops/clips/hangers/whatever from almost all holster manufacturers to end up with exactly what you want.
