The first is my Stevens-Savage Model 15A single shot, first firearm at age 15.
The other is a early 1970's Marlin (Glenfield) Model 25 Bolt action magazine rifle I bought this year for $100 (US).
I have had fun with both, grateful to have them.

I love .22lr. Its a versatile useful caliber, and it shines in developing shooting skills. Its economical to shoot, It has no recoil so its easy to practice lots with it and develop the shooting fundamentals.
Its fun to shoot, and the perfect caliber for introducing new shooters.
I can never understand why folks who shoot dont own a .22lr it should be the first firearm they buy.
I own; Smith & Wesson Model 17,Ruger Single Six, Browning Buckmark, and the first pistol I bought when I was a young lad stationed at Aviano AFB, back in 1970, a Beretta Model 76.

I only own one right now. It's a 1954 Marlin 39A. I spent some time getting it back in to good shape. It had not been fired much but it had been handled a good bit and was not well taken care of. It's my favorite caliber and firearm.
I plan to buy a Ruger MKII as soon as funds permit. I won't have a need to own anymore than that although I can appreciate those that do!
