Not sure if it would have eye relief problems if it is designed for a pistol. Being a red dot, I am guessing it would be okay, but might be fuzzy.

Looks good to me. Did you check out the reviews on the Optics Planet site.

Seems Okay, though most suggest a better ring

I think Tasco was one of the first few companies to enter the red dot optic arena. My dad put a Tasco on a grip mount for his Colt Gold Cup and he also has one on a Smith 41. I think he got them in the late 80s.

Could be wrong and could be because of the increased popularlity of the AR, but I haven't seen many Aimpoints before the last 10 years or so.

DONT buy from opticsplanet.com

dont buy anything from opticsplanet.com they are horrible. you cant tell whats in stock or not. their customer service sucks. didnt do anything to help with the problem i had, wich was i ordered a ncstar riser mount. they didnt have it in stock, wich wasnt clear from the website. i the called customer service after i got the email a week later saying they were out of stock. i then told her ill take the leapers see through riser mount instead. she said ok and bye. next thing i know im recieving another email from them through paypal sayin i owe them 2.94 more. really 3 dollars. they shoulda comp'ed the three bux. so anyway they ship it and im in des moines, wa well the idiots shipped the damn thing to iowa. ive recieved several emails asking how my experience with them was and that if theres anyproblem to email them and let them know because they believe in 100% customer satisfaction. wich is completely bull. ive emailed back letting them know that if my satisfaction is what theyre after either refund my 2.94 or refund the shipping costs since nobody there can do there job. why should i still have to pay for something that wasnt isnt and wont be done right and or on time. :cuss:

what do you guys think?

I ordered Bushnell binoculars around xmas and had no problems with opticplanet.com. sorry about the bum luck you had.

pretty good. I will NEVER place another order with opticsplanet.

Placed 3 orders and all were out of stock, yet the site didn't place an "out of stock" on the page.

Waste of time...

I think that sight will make shooting easier and will be quite accurate if it's treated gently, but will eat batteries for breakfast lunch and dinner. But it won't quite finish them, so you'll have a dozen nearly dead batteries that still make it glow dully but can't be used most of the time, and you won't have the heart to throw out. And then you'll look at the amount of $ spent on good batteries for a cheap optic, and realize it wasn't worth it. Worst of all you'll want another, better red-dot, that is stronger and better, but costs 3 or 4 times as much.

Just speculating...

wow, finally just recieved an email from opticsplanet saying they filed a claim with ups and theyre gunna refund my shipping costs. phew. its about time.
