I posted in Riomouse's thread about 2020 gun purchases that I twisted one arm with the other to get me out of a gunshop without buying a Ruger Single Six I found there but my grip was beginning to slip. Thanks to a weaked hand and an enabler wife I now own a stainlesss Single Six as of yesterday morning. All it took was my wife telling me that if I passed on the gun I would be grumbling later on that I should have bought it and now none were available and I was on the road back to the shop.

She was thinking about herself, she didn't want to hear you bitch about not getting the gun for the next 6 months.

When you don't buy the gun you what when you first see it; all those days until you buy it, are missed days that you will never get back and amount to missed shooting days for that gun.
Folks buy it, shoot it and enjoy it.... We are on the right side of the grass or snow.... so lets all enjoy what we have.... take advantage....

Four and a half hours ago a man was drinking coffee. He was contemplating the day and what he needed to do. He had made some halfhearted promises, but hours later there was no indication of the fulfillment of these halfhearted promises. Looking back we see there were no promises at all, but a vague reference to time in another time zone. Soon it will be twilight in that time zone...

I have found over the years that if you don't go after something when you see it the first time, you may not have a chance to see it a second time. Have done that on more than one occasion, especially at gun shows where you find something on Saturday, go home to think about it and come back on Sunday and it's been sold.

One of my best days ever at a gun show was when I found a Rossi M92 in .45 Colt and then a Beretta Stampede, also in .45 Colt! I didn't hesitate for a moment because I knew if I walked away from either table the guns would have been gone! So I did a little haggling with both and left there knowing I had gotten the best deal on two guns that I had really wanted for a long time!

You sir, are worthless and weak.:cuss:

Your resolve is highly in question and you should....

Aw hell, my glass house is developing cracks even as I type this.

Good for you is all I really got. In both cases, good for you.

Todd.

Nice. A stainless Single Six with the .22 WMR cylinder is one of my favorite woods walking handguns. Nice find. And a thumbs up salute to your wife.

Sorry, I became sidetracked by my enabling wife wanting Christmas decorations hauled to the storage building and put away and wanting to keep her an enabler I considered that much more important than taking and then posting a picture. Then a little electric work needed doing. I'm tired now and the picture is just going to have to wait for tomorrow. We geezers need our rest.

.......Same here; except mine's not in stainless and I wish it was. Darn nice woods walking handgun; especially during squirrel season. Having my spouse tell me to buy that gun would have indeed sent me to thinking I was travelling through another dimension. Looking forward to the pictures. There's pix of my blued Single Six here on the computer. We could start a Single Six photo thread.
