I've always wanted to shoot a hole into 'quarter' (yes, 25 cents). Just like the ones you see in movies and exhibition shows.
Anyway, I got me a 2x4 plank, duct-taped the quarter (about 2 revolutions), marked my target, positioned the plank, pulled back appox. 20-25yrds back, loaded my XD40, aimed..."BANG!" ...First shot, I hit the quarter dead-on center, but I blasted it outta sight. I cant find where it went.
So, I tried to do it again...this time I got (2)2x4's and 6 revolutions of duct-tape...marked, positioned, aimed and "BANG!" ...Second shot, again, dead-on center, BUT AGAIN, blasted the quarter outta there...and I can't find where it went.
I lost .50 cents.

But how do I keep my quarter from blasting off? I want to be able to come and show the wife (and some friends).
Peace,

...but I am please that my Springfield XD40 has surpassed my expectations. I have a pretty good grouping and could aim 'bullseye' if I have to, but after my first and second shot (attempt to hole a quarter), it solidified my satisfaction with the XD.
