I posted on TFL (nearly 1500 times) and on other shooting related boards as SK.
Decided it was time to ditch the "I'm Mr. anonymous" thing so from now on I'll be posting as Sisco.
If you're interested, Sisco is my last name and the only name anyone I know outside imediate family calls me by.
(I've probably been called lots of other things too, but no need to go there!).
MOLON LABE!

Glad to see someone else taking the I'll just be me stance along with me. Just sign a big John Handcock there on YOUR Declaration of Indepence and tell the world what you stand for. It's the only way to go.

Congrats and welcome back!

If you can't post your real name and such on the board, how can you be sure that you will stand up at that time when it is needed? DeputyVaughn is correct.

STAND UP! BE COUNTED!

Don't hide on the internet. THEY already know who YOU are and have put you on the appropriate lists!

Nice to meet you Sisco. What are the origins of the name Sisco?
BTW, I live in KS too - right in the middle of the flint hills. What part of the state are you from?
;)

so what does Molon Labe mean?

Molon Labe

It means, more or less, "come and get them". I will defer to more educated others for a fuller explication of its history!
Happy to be on the new board!

... But not if it'll cause your Bishop to develop an instant combination of stomach ulcers, haemmorrhoids, double vision and migraine if he sees your name in a firearms forum!!! :D :D :D

Using my given name no more indicates that than the kind of cake I like on my birthday.

Gee, thanks for the welcome. Actually, I've been here for a while (member #230), but it's nice to feel wanted!
GD - I live in Garden City, way out West; too far from Heaven, too close to Oklahoma.
Sisco is either Italian or Spanish. As far as I'm concerned all my ancestors are American.

Molon Labe

Hello All.

For those new to the struggle:

Molon Labe (pronounced mo-LONE la-VAY).

When the Persian emperor Xerxes invaded Greece, Leonidas, King of Sparta, and 300 of his personal guard (and actually some 1000 Hoplites--Greek citizen-soldiers) defended the narrows at Thermopylae so the rest of the Spartans could gather the rest of their citizen soldiery and join with the main Greek muster. They faced a Persian army consisting of between 7,000 and 20,000 Persians (depending on who you listen to). Xerxes told Leonidas that if he would surrender his arms, he and his men would be spared. Leonidas' reply:

MOLON LABE!!! (Come and take them!!!)

They lasted for three days, and died to the man. The Greeks were able to muster their dispersed citizen-soldier army and repel the Persian invasion.
