If limited to two handguns....

1927 Sistema 11.25mm

T/C Encore (registered from T/C as a handgun) and every barrel in every length from .223 to .375 JDJ I could lay my hands on.

One 4" S&W .357 Mag revolver. M-19, M-66, M-27, M-28, M-586/686, any would do.

One 3" alloy-framed 1911. My current Kimber Ultra Carry would be more than satisfactory. :) Although I will likely add night sights and/or Crimson Trace laser...

Note--If CCW were no longer legal, I might trade the 1911 for a Ruger MkII .22 LR for the sake of frequent cheap shooting, but it would nearly kill me to do so...maybe a .22 conversion for the 1911 would be wiser. :)

Dang that's tough.

1: Colt 1911 .45 ACP ...and then it gets real tough.

2: Redhawk .44..Model 10 HB .38..Model 19 .357..1911 .38 Super..You mean I can't have one of these?...:uhoh:

Couple things of interest here.

1)Lots of revolvers in the mix. Must be something to those ole' obsolescent pieces afterall. Out of 38 posts 21 of them have at least 1 revolver in them.

2)Ala Dan said...
Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special 1911

Ruger SP-101 in 357 mag
XD-40

Just about every major police agency in America uses the 40 S&W, so ammo availability should never be an issue.:D

limited to two hand guns...

4" Stainless steel GP100
Sig p250 Bi-tone with all of the conversion kits (Full-sized, compact, subcompact) in 9mm and .45 acp

For me it would probably be my S&W M25-2 6" and my M28-2 4", both 45ACP.

But my S&W M686 6" and M686 4" would be a compelling choice also.

Or the S&W Hand Ejectors 1905 in 32 WCF one 5" one 6.5" would be nice too.

Okay, probably the 45 ACP revolvers.
