Impractical but love it?

The lighter ones look the best to me, but they look slicker than a politician.

I like the ones that came with mine, one peice, no screw through the grips.
Looks good to me. It also appears that a person needs to fit one piece grips
to the grip frames to get a decent fit. Would seem quite expensive to do
after the fact. Just a guess on my part.

When you have a gun like that, might as well pimp it out, that's part of the fun.
I've thought of getting one of the cowboy shoulder holsters for mine. plus a SASS
badge or two.

The Smith and Walther PPK in 380. Costs more than I have, but I'm going to get one tomorrow anyways. No idea why, but it feels good in the hand (the boss (wife) is away, so it won't be a problem)

Old4x4, maybe you secretly want to be James Bond. I have been wanting a PPK also for some time and I do not own a .380 at all. But right now I am on a big single action kick and after my incident with the PX4 Storm today I am still mad at the autos right now. :)

My single-action is even more impractical. It's a Ruger Old Army black-powder .45, but I use a conversion cylinder in it to fire cowboy-load .45LC. A box takes a while to go through since the cylinder must be removed to reload. The massive frame and 7" barrel make it really nice to shoot.

But I inherited it, so I will never part with it.

Oh, I've done this once or twice...

Original Colt 1890s Bisley in .44-40. Had it refinished and reblued--I know, I know, but I did it anyway.

TWO 3-inch Smith N-frame snubbies in .44 Special, one blue, one stainless. About as easy to conceal as a grapefruit:

Wildey .45 magnum--the engraved model, no less. The gas ring was a pain to get adjusted properly. Dumb as a bag of hammers, but FUN. Made a BIG bang!

Baby Browning .25 auto. Yeah, I know--it wouldn't stop an enraged gerbil--but it was made like a Swiss watch, and it was so CUTE!

All gone now, along with others not so stupid. Gone, but not forgotten, as they say. I don't regret buying a single one of 'em.
