Ithaca Serial Number and Age?

I just aquired an older model 37

Im curious as to how old it is, but seeing as how they wen tout of business and their site is no longer up I dont know where to even begin looking

I think it was made in the late 50s early 60s but have no way of knowing for sure

can anyone shine some light on this subject for me please?
