New to the CCW game, have searched various websites, and still undecided about an IWB holster. Personal preferences lean towards leather, rather than Kydex, or nylon material. Weapon of choice will be either a Kahr or BHP. What do you use?

still undecided about an IWB holster.
You can read the current threads on this option, but since you are still undecided carefully look over other modes & their merits...A holster is just money but why bother starting your "BOXFUL"....
or nylon material

If you go with IWB, this I would eliminate from the git-go....:)

Check out here. Great holsters, great prices, great guy to deal with (Kevin).
Made one at a time so there will be a waiting period.. But VERY well worth the wait. I have two, one IWB and one OWB, both for the same gun (CZ75D Compact PCR) and couldn't be more pleased.
Be safe..

I'm a big fan of the Milt Sparks Summer Special 2. I carry a bobtail commander daily, and barely notice it is there. Good retention. Easy to use snaps. Very comfortable.

What kind of clothes do you wear?
Does it need to be tuckable?
Do you want to be able to reholster one-handed?
What position (2 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 5 o'clock, SOB) will you be wearing it?
What's the weather like (hot, cold, temperate, all of the above)?
How much are you willing to spend?
How long are you willing to wait?

Guaranteed that you can find someone on THR who uses (or has used) every IWB holster made, so I don't think a general survey will help you much. If you let people know how and where you'll be carrying, you may get some better inputs that help you scope the possibilities.

+1 on the Crossbreed. I have one for my Glock, and just ordered another one for my new Kahr. I have the SuperTuck model and have been amazed at the concealment.

+1 on gunnersalley.com. The Don Hume snap-on works great with an XDSC, which is "chunky" to begin with.

Hope your "boxful" stays below the fill line ...

hello and welcome to thr, i have a kahr that i love and i carry it in a don hume open top. it is a great comfortable, concealable holster. for great kydex holsters check out grandfather oak holsters they are thin but they are comfortable and they are secure.

Another vote for Milt Sparks. I have both the Summer Special 2 and the Executives Companion. I prefer the Exec by a slight margin.
