Just bought a 2011 Colt Series 70

I don't know about cheaper, but Wilson Combat fixed the factory defect caused this M1911 to peen its first frame out in 3000 rounds. Something that Colt Customer Service could not (or would not).
I also had them do a lot of other work, such as the front/rear sights, match barrel and bushing, tighten frame, trigger job, new hammer, beavertail, probably some more, and it was all flawless.
Based on my experience, Wilson Combat knows more about 1911's than Colt.

The Wilson drop in beavertails specifically made for Colt's enhanced frame fit quite well. The STD. frame ones... Not as well

My advice is to put 500 rounds through it b4 making any changes. You list may change after getting to kow her better. Mine did.
