I've been saying i'm gonna get one of these for a year or two, and finally pulled the trigger. I found the ( i assume discontinued) Marlin model 60 SSK, which is the stainless steel with the plain black synthetic stock, for $209 at Barrow automotive in Butler,Georgia. (great operation if you live in the area, we've been fans of theirs for decades now). I almost got the wood stock version at Wally world a few days ago, but decided instead to make the 2 hour round trip and get the one i've had my eye on. I got a set of Leupold rings, and will be mounting a Weaver V7 2.5-7x32 scope that i recently scored a killer deal on. I'll hopefully be breaking it in tomorrow with the Federal bulk .22 from wally world that so many here like in their 60's.
Anyway, thanks to all here that have chimed in while i researched this rifle.
