I've got my bench almost set up now - just have to mount the Uniflow on to the ledge that I'm about to build onto my bench, and the setup will be complete!

Just for grins, I went ahead and loaded one round. .45acp, Hornady XTP 185gr w/ 3.5gr Bullseye with Winchester primers and WWB once fired brass. Yeah, I know it's a weak load, but that's what the reloading manual says to start with.

Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know - especially those that helped me with choosing equipment and such. Thanks :D

Greeting's Sir-

And congratulations on loading your first round of
.45 ACP. I'm sure there will be many more to come?
Kind'a reminds me of when I first started, t'was
loading for a Smith N Wesson model 57 .41 mag
using the 170 grain JHC from Sierra. Didn't really
realize how good I had done, until I saw it zoom
down range. That has too be a complete sense
of satisfaction! Enjoy~

LT - you have every right to feel pleased!!! I doubt there is one among us who did not experience this very same thing when we started.

Glad you are starting low .... tho you may find that a bit too whimpy but - patience and care ... and the progression thru to the loads you and your gun like will follow .. all part of the intrigue and enjoyment surrounding reloading.

Now tho - you will frequently be having to find that niche of time .... when you just MUST go check some loads! :D

Just don't load too many of anything until things get to where you want them. Stay safe.

I think that is a combination of relief and satisfaction. If you pay attention during all phases of reloading, you won't have problems.

Congrats!
great feeling isn't it?
I remember it like it was a month or two ago. . .:scrutiny:
Oh yeah, it was! :D
Like it's been said, touching off the first round feels really good.

Congrats LT and welcome to the club.

You have opened Pandora’s Box. Now you will be with the rest of us surfing the web hours on end looking for the best prices on brass, bullets and all the other components.

If you have kids, watch that bench! They will be all over it wanting to load as much as you do. A nice problem to have.

I remember when I started, back in the early '70s...

Now you've done it! It's too late, the monkey's on your back for reloading, did anyone tell you there's no cure?

Congratulations, it's official, you're hooked! :D

welcome to the jungle dude! pretty soon you'll be castin boolits and running a dillon progressive!
