One gun shop near me has a new Kahr 45 on sale for $399. After a little haggling the salesman said the best he could do was $375 out the door. I was not sure about the deal since I know very little about Kahr. I believe the model was CW45. Is this a good deal?

Well...

The 45's aren't known for their reliability. It may take a trip to Kahr to fix any feeding issues. Also understand this won't be a 'range gun' with it's hefty muzzle flip.

I suspect it has been discounted for those reasons. I don't suppose you can rent it first?

As previoius responders have stated, I would try to rent or borrow one & shoot it first. I've shot the 9mm & liked it. $399 is the going price here in Oklahoma so $375 would be good. Not a steal, but good.

Standard price, not bad not good. Buds has the for $355 shipped. My local big box store runs specials on the for $359 + tax often

$375 is pretty good. Most LGS around here have them listed at $399. I got my CW 40 for $375 after a little haggling.

okay thanks. if it's gone when I go back I won't be devastated.

Saw a factory new CM40 at last week's Gun show for $330 and CW40 for $343. Looks like Kahr is responding to the competition from S&W with the "Shield" and Springfield with the "XDS".

I guess I should have asked "Which Kahr .45acp?"
I paid $500 (used) for my P45 nearly five years ago, and would do so again in a heartbeat.

More recently, I bought a PM45 ANIB for $450. Again, I'd do it again today. .
