Was firing a bit off the deck this weekend.
I have only one mag for my PF-9.
By the time I got 21 rounds thru the gun, I had 3 failures to feed, in each case the cartridge was nose-down in the mag, with the rim up where it should be, against the feed lips, blocking foward travel of the slide.
To clear the gun I had to jam my finger down into the breech to push the cocked cartridge down into the mag. This, of course, allows the slide to travel and latch onto the finger. PITA, mostly.
Given the attitude of the cartridges when jammed, how likely is the problem to be the mag follower binding? Seems ALMOST certain to me.
After the first FTF, I disassembled and cleaned the mag. Seemed clean as it was, but went ahead and cleaned it anyway. Still had the problem.........
Suggestions?
