hey all , i ve gotsome light rust spot on my blue model 10. what is best way to remove without harming the blue? THANKS TO ALL. H2O

Soak it with ATF for a bit then rub with oiled , clean wool sock .

If ya need a little more power use clean oiled 0000 steel wool LITELY !!!!

If you can't find a penny, run down to the local stop-n-rob. There's always a bunch laying in the parking lot at mine. :D

Seriously, I found a product a few years ago that worked very well. Don't remember the name but I think it was something like stainless steel wool, and I used it with a lot of oil to remove some rust spots on a rifle I bought. Worked pretty well and no scratches. Check at a local gun shop and see what they have.
 
probably not the best choice but I've used the backside of a pocketknife blade. You don't want to touch anything but the rust. It will scratch the bluing. Or use a penny like they say. Then you don't have to be quite so careful.
 
Ace Hardware, bronze wool, or, as has been posted #0000 steel wool, lots of oil, VERY LIGHT PRESSURE, a little time, and all should be well.
