I have a m93 thats in great condition. It is still chambered in 7x57 and has what appears to be old fashioned ghost ring sights. I can get the bent bolt and the gun is sporterized so I don't mind drilling for mount's I just can't find any. The stock is cut and has swivels and a sling. I'm basically looking to make a better deer rifle than what I have. A scout mount would be a last choice.

My wife has one too. Right now it uses a Williams peep-sight but last year I got my hands on a jig for drilling and tapping the holes to match a Redfield JR base. Now the holes are there and when her eyes get as bad as mine we can put a scope on it for her.
If you don't have the proper jig, I suggest you go to Steve Wagner's site where he shows how to properly drill the holes. It ain't rocket science but it does help if you have access to a drill-press.

You may have trouble finding a mount like you want, since its a small ring Mauser and there aren't many options for these.

If I really wanted to put a scope on mine I'd probably buy a bent bolt from Numrich ( www.e-gunparts.com ) and drill my own mounts, then you can put a normal style scope on it. Lookup Spanish 93 Mauser on Numrich and I believe they sell the receiver mounts for this very rifle on there. Otherwise I think your going to find that most commercial scope mount systems for this rifle are going to mounted scout style and require a LER scope.

Good luck hope you can make it work:)
