I have searched several forums and did not find what I was looking for, or maybe chose to ignore it. I am an old far--guy with hearing loss, wear hearing aids etc. One of the main joys I get/got when shooting is hearing the "pling" noise when I hit the metal target. But wearing rubber plugs and muffs stops me from hearing the "pling". Would a set of electronic muffs with a NRR rating of 31, worn over my hearing aids enable me to hear the "pling" and still protect what hearing I have left? Or I could try without hearing aids in and hope amplification would be enough. Any input would be appreciated. I am virtually a fulltime caretaker for my invalid wife and can't get out to experiment as I use too. TIA
