wow, that is scary... I grew up in Southern Minnesota and I probably went to that show every year in the 80's, with the exception of '89 since I was in Air Force Basic Training.
At our shows they don't allow anyone, even vendors to be armed. This is probably another idiot who thinks he should be able to carry in a show even when it's posted not to. These idiots need to be weeded out or there won't be any more gun shows because of these accidents.
Now the promoter's insurance is going to pay this idiots medical bills. Stupid.
Most every stall I've ever "utilized" has a toilet paper dispenser in it. I unholster, set my pistol ontop of it, do my business, buckle up, and reholster. I even have enough presence of mind not to reholster with the hand that utilizes the TP. I've never had a bathroom experience so intense that I forgot my pistol behind, but I guess it happens to some people.
I've carried concealed at shows. If they notice and ask me to leave, fine. I don't see it as anymore "idiotic" to carry at a gunshow than anywhere else. The "idiots" are the ones who are careless with their firearms.
Sigh. There's a Beavis and Butthead joke lurking somewhere in this story. I'm glad the guy is okay. ("I AM CORNHOLIO! I NEED TP FOR MY BUNGHOLE!" "DO YOU MOCK ME?" "Heh. Heh.")
