Marlin 336w w\ acog scope

I am thinking about putting an acog scope on a Marlin 336w. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Stupid idea? Great idea?

The acog is very functional.. And so is the 336.. They are very differant styles but could work well together

Ballistically the 5.56 and 30-30 are not even close so the BDC will NOT work. Kinda silly putting a ~$1000 peice of glass on it that isn't setup for the weapon you are putting it on.

Also the ACOG has very short eye relief (~1") so you are going to have to get up on it as well.

Why not, It's your money. Not exactly a match, but who cares. If you hate it you can always take it off.
