Am I correct in saying it only shoots 2.5" shells? I have always wanted a .410lever action, but I want it to shoot regular 3" shells. That model of gun doesn't exist as far as I can tell. Good luck on your new shotgun. Don't just let it sit in the gun safe. Go out and shoot it some!

Yes the marlin 410 xlr & the winchester model 9410 (both lever actions)only shoot 2 1/2 inch shells.I was also looking at a pistol that shoots 3 inch 410 shells called the super commanche the retial for around $200 bucks in stainless steal and are a single shot.coobie

The ability to shoot 3" shells is one of the reasons that I never bought a lever action 410. The new Taurus Judge pistols are chambered for 3" shells.
