I know this will get flamed, so flame away you have my permission!

In the Martix Revolutions(the third one) about 15 minutes in, Seraph(the tiawanese protector of the orical) Trinity and Morpheus are headed down an elevator. Seraph pulls out two Beretta 92's turns off the safeties, the rotates them in his hands pulls back the slides and checks the chambers.

Now checking the chambers is no problem you only have to pull back the slide about .5 inches, but I wanted to know if anyone could actualy chamber a gun in the same fashion. I have tried many times with my Springfield XD-45, but it has one of the strongest recoil springs I have ever pulled.

Can anyone do this, and if so on what gun?

I can do it on a Beretta but not on a 1911 (longer round).

Don't tell the OOD that his POOW has been playing with the M9.

I can chamber check like Seraph my 92FS, just like Seraph's gun, and on my USP.

but I wanted to know if anyone could actualy chamber a gun in the same fashion.

if anyone could actualy chamber a gun in the same fashion

He did not chamber a round, he just checked to make sure there is one in the chamber. Nobody can chamber a round by moving the slide 0.5" back ;) well not on the guns I have.

he pulled back .5 inch to check chamber

i want to know if anyone can pull back 2 inches and actual chamber?

I can't do it on any of my autoloaders. I believe "Way of the Gun" has a similar scene where Benicio Del Toro is supposedly racking his 1911 with one hand, but if you take a second look at it he's just pulling the slide back far enough to check the chamber. In an emergency, I'd just hook the slide on a belt or something and rack it that way.

I'm still trying to figure out where Trinity carried her pair of Berettas while wearing that black PVC catsuit in the second Matrix movie :)

In the "Vast Wasteland", for anyone who watches American Dad. I know it doesn't quite work for a woman.

Yamamoto: GOOD POINT!

I can do it with any of my autos, but it's easiest w/ my PT-99. It's toughest with my Ruger p-345. Big hands help.

Ruger's,HK's and Sig's can all do this with the hammer back. I am sure other's can but not as comfortable and safe with my hand's.
