Hello all, I recently purchased a Magnum research micro desert eagle in 380acp. Anyone have good and/or bad experiences with this? My logic was that I wanted to shoot +p ammo, and what better gun to do it with, than an all metal one, as most have the polymer nowadays......whatta ya think?

I think if you bought i for a sweet little pocket .380 to carry then you're going to like it a lot. If you bought it to shoot a lot then you are going to hate it. I have one and while I think it is a great little pocket gun it does kick like a mule and I found it fairly unpleasent to shoot. My little Sig 232 is much nicer. I did find the Micro Eagle to be very reliable and easy to conceal.

Good reliable pistol but it's thicker, heavier and more painful to shoot than any of my other pocket 380s.

It is a blowback action which will always have more felt recoil than a locked breech action like the P-3AT style guns.

I would think it's as heavy as my NAA Guardian 380...........like a brick in your pocket.
The guardian is almost five ounces heavier than the Micro Desert Eagle.

The guardian has a steel frame and the Micro has an aluminum frame.

Five ounces is pretty significant difference in a pocket rocket.
