Missouri State Championship Shoot Report

This is Sunday morning. Sitting here drinking coffee and ponding. Attended
the Missouri State Championship Shoot yesterday. Going back today. Got to
leave in about a hour. Report so far, daughter shot the pistol agg in the
women's division she is 14. Had a real good target at 50 yds. As of last night
she is in second place with mom being in first. More women will shoot today.
We will see how her scores hold up at the end of today. Several other women
shot also yesterday. This is the first time the daughter has shot against adults. I did not fire a shot yesterday. Had to load for the daughter. Today
I will shoot the revolver matches and the open pistol matches. I'm tired, but
I will not let those young wipper-snapperes slide that shot yesterday. The old
man "I'm 70" will make a showing. Can't hardly see, cant hardly walk, Can't
hardly even hold the gun up, but NO excueses! I will shoot! Will report later
tonight as to how it went. Got to finish my coffee, grab my cane and head
out the door. Wish me luck

Report Of Final Outcome

Well when all the smoke had cleared Sunday afternoon. I came in 3rd in the
men's open pistol and second in the revolver. No excuses. Wife won the
women's pistol and her score was the higest in the men's also. Daughter came
in second in the women's. Not bad for a 14 year old. Just think if it hadn't been for mom she would have won it. Well were off to Friendship, will be back
next Monday. Cu then.
