Mitchells was not the best quality as I bought new condition M48's for much, much less from SOG at the time. Mitchells did nothing more to their m48's than SOG did.

Interesting. At the time pics of Mitchell's being posted were of completely cleaned up and packaged guns. I thought SOG were sending them out still in the Cosmoline.

Well, okay, they cleaned them. But the metal and the steel underneath were already excellent. They were charging $175 for cleaning. Otherwise, the accessories and matching numbers were the same across the importers.

Mitchell's reportedly either avoided, or was successfully defended against a lawsuit regarding fraud, but by only an "r.*.h.";), or a thin red line.

This minute, Samco has a selection of very nice-excellent Yugo 24/47s for $269, and apparently with the matching, original bolts.
Several months ago they had some "Persian" Mausers in excellent condition, which were examples manufactured by the Czechs.

For many people, the primary issue has become the surplus 8x57mm ammo price increases since '09. This might be a serious limitation on the rifles' prices, as seems to be the case with Enfields.
